Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D)

Upon arrival at Hanoi 's Noi Bai International airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Dine in French colonial villas converted into gourmet restaurants. Evening watch a performance at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 2 Hanoi City Tour - Lao Cai by night train(B/L/-)

Vietnam 's artistic and intellectual capital. Explore the fascinating Old Quarter and its hundreds of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquerware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects and more. Walk around Hoan Kiem Lake . Enjoy people-watching at stylish cafes. Shop for impressive modern art in the city's myriad galleries. Also visit Hanoi 's main cultural attractions, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature . In the evening you take an overnight train to Lao Cai and Sapa. At 8:30 p.m., we pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi , and transfer to the Hanoi Station at 120 Le Duan. The train departs at 9:30 p.m. (Tulico) and 10 p.m. for Victoria Express Train. Overnight on train.

Day 3 Lao Cai - Sapa (B)

Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station at 6:30 a.m., meet our driver and transfer to Sapa. It will take approximately 2 hours to reach the town. You will first have breakfast. Then, free time in the morning to stroll around town or enjoy the comfort of your hotel. At 2 p.m., trek to Cat Cat village, home of black H'mong, and a waterfall nearby. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4 Sapa Villages Walk (B/L/-)

Following breakfast, we explore Sapa market and then set out on our 3-4 hour trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home to H'mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic lunch on the way to Ta Van village. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 5 Sapa - Lao Cai for train to Hanoi (B/L/-)

This morning we climb up to Ham Rong Mountain , which gives you a great panoramic view over Sapa and its surrounding areas, and you can explore two orchid gardens. Hotel check-out. Then we travel to Ta Phin valley, where the Red Dao and H'mong minorities live. Drive back to Lao Cai Railway Station. The overnight train leaves Lao Cai Railway station at 9:15 p.m. to Hanoi where you will arrive at 5 a.m. the following morning. Overnight on train.

Day 6 Lao Cai - Hanoi - Halong Bay Junk Boat (B/L/D)

Arrive in Hanoi at around 5 a.m. in the morning. Pick up from here, transfer to Café Tara for breakfast and morning coffee. Leave Hanoi by private vehice at 8:30 a.m., arriving at the jetty around 12:30 p.m.. Transfer to our boat for a cruise in the crystalline emerald waters of Halong Bay , giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. While on board, we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim. We will also have the chance to explore some of the limestone caves in this area. Overnight on a junk in Halong Bay .

Day 7 Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Rising to the sound of lapping waters of the bay, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emeraude water of the bay. Cruise around Bai Tu Long bay, passing by Bai Tho Mountain. Lunch will be served on boat. Sail back to harbor at noon where our car will be waiting to transfer us back to Hanoi . Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 8 Depart Vietnam (B)

There are no activities planned for today. You enjoy your free time until transfer to airport for your onward flight. Cam on va chao tam biet.
