Beautiful hotel with impeccable rooms, furniture and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and my husband and I even had a cooking class which included a fascinating trip to produce market with its smoked dog and variety of exciting fruit and veggies!

The breakfast was a real highlight- pho soup cooked and ladled into bowls for you on the spot by the chef. The restaurant in which breakfast was served was superb and we enjoyed many dinners there. Probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Mazza and Fazza, Australia Oct 2, 2007

What a charming hotel! My husband and I stayed in the Old Wing for 3 nights. Our room had a historic, colonial look while at the same time had modern amenities and a luxurious feel. From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and offered a great variety of foods including some of the best fruit we had during our 3 weeks in Vietnam. The pool area is small but we never had a problem securing lounge chairs after returning to the hotel late in the afternoon. The only negative I have is that there isn't a spa. I had a massage but there were no spa facilities so when I arrived at the gym/spa area I was taken straight to a somewhat clinical looking room for my massage. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable experience and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hanoi. Los Angeles, CA, USA Oct 1, 2007
